Recording TikTok lives without software

TikTok doesn’t keep live streams publicly once they end, so a live has to be recorded while it’s on air. Enter the creator’s username: we check whether they’re live, show the stream and let you record it in the quality you choose.

In Chrome and Edge on desktop, the recording is written straight to disk, so long streams are no problem. Other browsers keep the recording in memory until you stop it. To check a creator’s profile and stories first, use the Anonymous TikTok Viewer.

Live recording problems

“This user isn’t live right now”: Lives can only be recorded while they’re on air. Check again when the stream starts.
The preview doesn’t play: Some browsers, including some on iPhone, can’t play the stream preview. Recording still works.
The recording stopped by itself: The live ended. Everything recorded up to that point is saved.
