How to download TikTok videos on Android, PC and Mac

You don’t need an app or a browser extension to save TikTok videos. The same three steps work on every device — copy the link, paste it, pick a file — but where the video ends up, and what to do if it won’t play, depends on your system. Here’s the short version for each one.

On Android

1. In the TikTok app, open the video, tap Share and choose Copy link.
2. Open Chrome (or your usual browser) and go to tiksavehd.com.
3. Tap Paste, then Download, and choose No watermark or HD.
4. When the download finishes, tap Open in the notification — or find the video later in the Files app under Downloads.

Most gallery apps show new videos from the Downloads folder automatically. If yours doesn’t, open the file from the Files app once and it will usually appear.

On a Windows PC

1. Open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address from the browser’s address bar (or use Share › Copy link).
2. Go to tiksavehd.com, click in the box and press Ctrl + V, then Download.
3. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.

If the HD file shows a black picture in the Windows Media Player or Photos app, Windows is missing H.265 support. Download the No watermark (H.264) version, or open the HD file in VLC.

On a Mac

1. Copy the video link from tiktok.com or from the TikTok app on your phone (AirDrop or Universal Clipboard work too).
2. Paste it on tiksavehd.com with Cmd + V and click Download.
3. The video is saved to your Downloads folder and opens in QuickTime Player.

Current versions of macOS play both H.264 and H.265, so the HD file is usually the best choice on a Mac.

Tips that work everywhere

• You can paste the whole share message from TikTok — the link inside is detected automatically.
• For a slideshow, you get every photo instead of a video, plus a ZIP with all of them.
• If you only want the song or sound, use the TikTok to MP3 converter.
• Only public videos can be downloaded; private or deleted posts won’t work on any device.
