How to save TikTok videos on iPhone without watermark

TikTok’s own Save video button stamps the logo and the creator’s username onto the video, and some creators turn saving off completely. You can still keep a clean copy on your iPhone with nothing more than Safari. The whole process takes under a minute.
Save a TikTok video to your iPhone, step by step
- In the TikTok app, open the video, tap the Share arrow and choose Copy link.
- Open Safari and go to tiksavehd.com.
- Tap Paste (or long-press the box and paste), then tap Download.
- Choose No watermark or HD. When Safari asks whether to download the file, tap Download.
- Open the Files app and go to Downloads (or tap the download arrow in Safari’s address bar).
- Open the video, tap the Share button and choose Save Video. It now appears in Photos.
Which version should I pick?
No watermark is an H.264 MP4 that plays on every iPhone and every editing app. HD, when it’s offered, is the highest-resolution copy TikTok has — often 1080p — encoded in H.265 (HEVC). Recent iPhones play H.265 without problems; if yours shows a black screen or refuses the file, use the No watermark version instead.
Why is “Save video” missing on some TikToks?
Creators can switch off downloads for their videos in TikTok’s privacy settings. The app then hides the Save option. The video is still public, but the creator has told you how they feel about copies — if you want to repost it anywhere, ask them first and credit them.
Using Chrome instead of Safari
Chrome for iPhone downloads files too. The video ends up in the Files app rather than Photos; open it there and use Share › Save Video, exactly as with Safari.
Common problems
- Nothing happens when I tap Download: make sure you copied a TikTok link (it should contain tiktok.com) and try pasting again.
- “This content is private”: only public videos can be saved.
- The file is in Files but not in Photos: iPhone downloads always go to Files first. Use Share › Save Video to move it.
- I only want the sound: use the TikTok to MP3 converter instead — it saves just the audio.
